Chapter 13
“So that’s all for this evening?” I asked Denode. I’d taken him up on his offer to help him clean his dirty money. Although I knew what I was doing was illegal, I needed the money. I had been crashing at Dayton’s crib for the past three weeks. He gave me my space, but I was ready to get out of there. I was tired of his handouts. It was time that I stepped back out on my own.
“Yeah. That’s all I got for you today. Again, I want to say thank you. These last few weeks, you’ve been a blessing little mama. I needed this money washed up like yesterday.”
He had been thanking me over and over again for the last few weeks that we had been working together. I wondered what kind of work he was involved in because he had shit loads of money to get rid of. It wasn’t my job to ask, so I just didn’t even bother. I had successfully gotten over two million dollars of illegal money into off shore accounts for safe keepings.
“I’m just doing my job. I’ll see you in two days. Same place.” I told him as I got up from my seat. I had been meeting him at the same time and place. Dayton picked me up and brought me to work, so I didn’t have much room to fit him in. I had to sacrifice my lunch hour two days a week to accommodate his needs. I was fine with that, because he paid exceptionally well.
No one knew about this side job that I had acquired. Not even Draya. I wanted to keep this a secret. There was no need for anyone to know every aspect of my life.
“Same time. Same place. I look forward to it. Remember, whenever you get out of that situation, hit me up.” He was always trying to put his Mac down.
“I keep telling you that it’s not one of those kinds of situations. I don’t think I’ll be leaving this situation any time soon.” I reminded him. We had the same conversation after each meeting. I could honestly say that this man was persistent. It was too bad that I wasn’t interested.
“I hear you. But if things change within the next two days… hit me up.” He laughed and I did too. However, I knew that he was dad ass serious.

“You’ve been MIA lately. What’s the deal?” Lori asked as we laid in bed after a heated sex session. Lying beside Kamey’s fine ass every other night was like torture for a nigga. Each morning that I laid beside her I came and blew Lori’s back out. Little mama could hold on to her virginity as long as she wanted. I wasn’t pressuring her to have sex, but just because she wasn’t having sex didn’t mean that I wasn’t either. I was a man with needs.
“Been busy.” I hated to be questioned. I answered to no one.
“You sure about that?” she wanted to know more, but she wouldn’t get it from me.
